That's why tattoos for women are generally smaller and prettier than male tattoos. Feminine tattoos Woman with a full sleeve tattoo It is rare, though not unheard of, for a woman to have a full sleeve tattoo that covers much of her arm., but usually feminine tattoos are more likely to be isolated in one or two areas of the body – as accent pieces, so to speak. Women's tattoo designs are also less heavy, less aggressive looking compared to men's tattoos. They tend to have thinner lines, though this is, of course, a generalization rather than a rule.

Sound Wave by Jean Shin Posted: 05 Sep 2010 09:40 AM PDT Sound Wave, a sculpture created by Korean artist Jean Shin out of 78 rpm melted vinyl records. Records were melted and sculpted to form a cascading wave, dotted with bursts of colorful labels. The resulting structure speaks to the inevitable waves of technology that render each successive generation of recordable media obsolete. The piece also aims to physically manifest the ephemerality of music as well as one man's musical tastes, as represented by his personal record collection. via artrock2006
